Keystone Wedding Photography: Chris and Dave

Two Elk Studios

I am finally getting around to posting the other wedding I photographed with Charlotte during my back to back weekend in Keystone.  I’ve been pretty busy with moving to a new house so this post fell to the side a bit.  I’m so excited to share this wedding because it was another beautiful event at Timber Ridge on Keystone Mountain and the bride and groom were wonderful to work with.  This was a destination wedding for everyone and Chris and Dave came all the way from their current residence in France!  Chris is originally from Colorado and wanted to get married in her beloved Rocky Mountains.  She was so easy going and a joy to be around all day.  It was easy to see why Dave looked like he was wondering how he got so lucky to be marrying Chris.

As is typical with most Colorado mountain weddings, there was an afternoon storm that delayed the loading of the gondolas that would take the wedding party and guests to the venue.  Fortunately, they only had the gondola shut down for about a half hour.

Chris was so cool about the delay and was smiling the entire time saying, “This is my Colorado and I love it!”

The ceremony and reception took place at Timber Ridge on top of Keystone Mountain.

I love it when wedding favors have a more personal touch to them and Chris and Dave shared a batch of Chris’s grandmother’s hot chocolate mix with all the guests.

I won’t try to hide the fact that photographing children can be met with resistance sometimes.

Chris was such a beautiful bride and her veil and hat were great compliments to her dress.

To me, this really evokes the magic memory I strive to create at every wedding.

I feel like this photograph captures Chris’s personality perfectly. There was a slowdown in the ceremony and Chris just stood there happy as can be without a care.

During the formal photographs, this little girl aimlessly walked right in front of the group and had no idea that people were behind her.

Congratulations to you both!
