This past week, I took a trip down to Dallas to visit my girlfriend's family. It was my first time in Texas and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Dallas is a great city with a lot going on and has some great places to take pictures. My girlfriend's mother wanted pictures of her two daughters so we went to an area called Lakeside and had a fun shoot. I really like to have a good time during portrait sessions and you can see in the pictures that the girls were having fun as well. Lighting setup: A couple of these were taken with natural light but most were done with an off-camera Nikon SB-900 flash shot through an umbrella. I used the wireless TTL system from my D300 since I was shooting with a 50mm 1.8 lens and was close enough for the transmitter to work.

For this series, I just set my camera on continuous autofocus and let er rip:

This last one obviously isn't something you would frame but was so funny that it had to be shared. We couldn't stop laughing after seeing it!
